Hi, my name is Melanie Jones... I live in the Washington D.C. Metro area.  I have been a makeup artist for over 10 years, serviced hundreds of women over the years from brides to CEO's.  I have worked for several luxury cosmetic brands perfecting and honing my craft. I have recently decided that I would like  to expand my  education in the beauty industry to become a full-time licensed Esthetician.  By acquiring the license this will allow me to expand my services from just makeup application to offer other quality beauty services from facials to body waxing, and other advanced skin care luxury beauty services. In the past I have attended Howard University, which has left me with several thousand dollars in student loan debt.  After researching several Esthetics programs in the Washington D.C. region the average cost for Esthetics programs is $10,000. It is my goal to pay for my program completely out of pocket. Another roadblock that I have hit is that I will no longer be able to work full-time while completing my program because of the demanding course schedule. Any funds received will go towards program fees, tuitions, textbooks, continuing education classes and seminars, supply replenishment, and marketing materials.
