Manatee Children's Services: Imagine being a teenager who, as most all teenagers do, is struggling to come into your own and become comfortable in your own skin.  Now imagine that you are this same teenager who has a history of suffering abuse or neglect at the hands of your parent and placed in foster care, bounced from home to home.  Manatee Children’s Services is a non-profit organization with a mission to prevent child abuse.  In furtherance of this mission, we operate 3 group homes with live-in house parents who care for teens in foster care and provide them a place to call home until they are ready to move out on their own.  One of these residences, a group home for teen girls, was built in the 1960’s and is dire need of repair .  This funding will assist us in replacing the plumbing at the home, which is part of the planned remodeling project.   Thank you in advance for your consideration of our project!
