Hello Everyone!
I'm reaching out to friends and the community to help make a difference in the McCaffrey family. I want them to know that there are people out there that care. Lisa a single disabled mom of 2 wonderful children, one with special needs are in need of a home. I am the caregiver and friend of Lisa and have been blessed in being in their lives for the past year. Lisa being full of life became rapidly sick, and at one point had been put on hospice because they didn't think she would make it.
She has an aggressive muscle deterioration disorder to where her whole body is shifting and her organs are becoming displaced. This disorder makes it difficult for walking and participating in daily life. Lisa deals with chronic pain with everything shifting and has had to have a feeding tube placed. She can no longer swallow like you, or I. During this time of sickness, living in the home became very frightening and aggressively violent, due to Lisa's spouse who is battling substance abuse.
Lisa being so sick found the strength and courage to have her spouse removed from the home in 2014. In addition, Lisa had an order of protection put in place. Lisa and her children were badly abused during the time he was in the home. It even continued after violating the order, over and over to put fear into the them. It's still going on to this day.
Lisa went through a lengthy domestic violence trial. Facts were proven to be true, and the court of law found the husband guilty. The children were so scared and had to give their testimony to the judge at the age of 14 and 10. No child should have to go through that!
Many illegal activities have been occurring unbeknownst to Lisa including, her husband forging her signature as a power of attorney multiple times. Which allowed him access to refinance more than once without Lisa’s knowledge. Currently, Lisa is losing her home.
Since knowing Lisa I have watched her with every ounce she has to fight to keep her children safe, fight to keep their home and fight to maintain her health.
The fight to keep her home was on going, but the battle was officially lost May 23rd, 2018. Lisa was told her and the children will have to vacate the only home they have ever known in 2 months.
Lisa and her children have no family here, and have no where else to go. Lisa is on a very tight budget only receiving a certain amount of disability. She can not rely on child support as the children's father is in violation of his child support order. Lisa is currently going to court fighting for her child support .
I say enough it enough! This family deserves peace and security, I started this Go Fund Me in hopes of raising enough funds for Lisa and her children to purchase her own manufactured mobile home. A forever home! Lot rent is much more reasonable, then renting an apartment. Lisa could then afford it without having to rely on anyone. For all that this family has been through they not only deserve this but they need this!
The nightmare they have lived the last 6 years have been unjust and cruel. If you could support this Gofundme campaign by making a donation, and then sharing it with your network I would greatly appreciate it! I know that money can be tight, but any donation would get Lisa and her children closer to the goal, and into their forever home.
