Fund #MayesOnMay19 for City Council

My name is La'Tasha D. Mayes and I am proud to call Pittsburgh home for the last 15 years. Like many, I came to Pittsburgh to pursue higher education and I never left. Pittsburgh changed my life and to this day, it affirms for me that anything is possible.

In our great City, it is possible for a young person to provide our District 7 with a new voice of leadership in public decision-making. It is possible for a Black person to advance a vision for policy that represents the needs and interests of residents, regardless of their background. It is possible for a LGBTQ person to organize our neighbors to create changes that improve our lives, our families and our communities.

Together, it is possible to build affordable neighborhoods, implement sustainable development and promote healthy communities for all who live in District 7.

Each and every single day, I wake up inspired - with the people on my mind, public service in my heart and social justice in my soul. I have been a community organizer, policy advocate and visionary leader in Pittsburgh for a decade and a half. I've been the voice for change that has improved countless people's lives. I've worked with families and residents throughout our City and District and can I feel it. The time is now for Pittsburgh to be who we say we are or want to be.

With this step, I deepen my commitment to public service block by block, neighborhood by neighborhood, community by community with passion, commitment and hard work. If you believe that all things are possible and in the greatness of District 7, support the Mayes for District 7 campaign.
