Please help us get our grandmother back home to SC. Lucille Albert is an 83 year old mother of six.
On Thursday, April 9, 2015 Lucille, along with her daughters, Linda Lathan and Diane Albert traveled to Trevose, PA for a surprise wedding shower for her granddaughter, Wendi Lathan Faircloth and her fiancé, Michael T. Grote. Three hours after arriving in PA, Lucille fell down a flight of 12 stairs where she is now being treated for a broken left arm, broken right clavicle, fractured elbow and has a lacerated spleen. She is being treated at the Aria Frankford Hospital in Philadelphia, PA. We need to get her back to SC. Her family has been traveling back and forth between SC and PA, trying to get arrangements made. This is an urgent issue also because the same day that Lucille fell, her son-in-law, John "Toby" Lathan, who is being treated at CM Tucker, Jr. Nursing Care Center in Columbia, SC was also admitted to the Williams Jennings Bryan Dorn VA Medical Center for pneumonia.
Because of the advanced Alzheimer's that Toby is suffering with and the fact the family has been advised that he had little chance of leaving the hospital or even surviving, all medical treatment has been stopped and Toby has been moved to the hospice floor.
We need to get Lucille home so that she can be with her family. This family has had a tremendous amount of tragedy in one weekend. The family can't afford the continuous traveling that is required to be with her. We need to get her home. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
