This is my friend Matthew Johnson. Even though I have only known him for 4 years, he has honestly become one of the closest people in my life. He came to the United States at the young age of 11 to make a life for himself and has done more than most people I know.

He plays the bass and drums, and there's not one time that I went over to his house that he wasn't rocking out. There were times he didn't even hear his doorbell because he was so into his music.

He loves to dance at all the parties, you can't get him to sit down for anything. He's also run so many marathons that I have lost count, lol.

Matt's just the guy you want to be around because his high energy and spirits can bring you out of any foul state you're in. He has been there for so many people countless times, including myself, when they thought their back was against the wall.

On March 28th 2015, Matt was in a tragic motorcycle accident that nearly cost him his life. A car hit the side of him on Broad and Race in Philadelphia, sending his body a block from the crash site. He suffered a broken femur, a broken finger, and his foot literally snapped in half.

Because of the way that his foot was damaged, the skin on his heel was shredded and unable to heal. Unfortunately, there was no way to save the rest of his foot. The doctor's decided that because he is 23 years old, it would be easier for him to heal with a (Below the Knee) amputation.

Even though he has worked full time hours at his job, as a Banquet Server, he does not have sufficient health coverage to pay for all the medical expenses. Due to it's physical demands it's highly unlikely he could return to it anytime soon, if at all.

I am trying to raise enough money, to cover his medical bills and living costs. On behalf of myself and all his friends, we are asking for help to give our friend Matt the best chance at becoming that strong man that he once was. Whatever you can do to help is greatly appreciated (everything adds up).
