A Memo from Matthew Glass

Help me remember. 


I hate Online Fundraisers, but since I am busting my butt saving money I am working through it. I am hoping a few kind people, who I have not ticked off, might help. 

My rent is paid, my car works, medical fees are handled, and I do not need a new Ipad.

(I would love a set of new teeth, that’s  just a side note for the dentist’s out there.)




While Fitzmaurice Voicework ™ (FVW™) has been a passion of mine since 1994 and then revived in getting to work with Catherine Fitzmaurice and her Son Saul Kotzubei in Vancouver, B.C. It started as vocal work then blossomed into a mental, physical and spiral journey as well. THE WORK IS PROFOUND

Since then things have happened in my life that aren’t the end of me yet, but life-changing. I'll get to that. 


Speaking (pun) of bad teeth (see the aforementioned plea for Dentists),  I am raising money for a trip to go to the  Fifth  Annual FVW ™ Freedom And Focus  Conference forwww.freedomandfocusconference.org.

It is in Kent, England this year from July20-24. I would also encourage others’ to go. I personally believe beginners to the have the richest experiences.  I also want to go to Kent. Not London. My heritage leads back to Ipswich in 1404 and Scotland(Glasgow). My family name is mentioned in the Scottish Play. 













Back to my life changing events and I am going to be brief. I have been HIV positive for over 20 years, in 2014 I was diagnosed with Stage 2 Parkinson’s Disease. I  fell and broke a hip on campus, had to quit teaching there. I filed a WC claim and won, was listed on a Right Wing Professor Website for pushing my Leftist Agenda (I am sure it was my production of Ubu Roi or the class where we discussed Israel and Palestine.)  Parkinson ’s started acting up, you can only hide so many Dr. visits from your boss before they know something is up. Started losing jobs. I applied for disability and received it in five months, first time with no lawyer. So now I am living on very meagre means. 300% below poverty level. Please continue reading, this is not a Victim’s Statement. 

For all intents and purposes, I will not be able to do something like this again. It is predicted that I might be showing signs of Early Onset Dementia. 

I still want to keep learning, REMEMBERING , voicing and moving and as much I can, while I can. 


 The pre and final financial audit papers would be free to anybody that donates. 

My final goal date is the Ides of March (the 15th). At that point, if my fundraising looks dismal, all funds would be returned to Donors within the timeline designated by GoFundMe™.
