Massachusetts Police Unity Tour

Donation protected
Greetings All,

It is that time of year again, and Team Massachusetts will be once again participating in the Police Unity Tour, Chapter II. This year we will be riding in honor of the memory of Auburn Police Officer Ronald Tarentino Jr. and Massachusetts State Trooper Thomas L. Clardy, as well as the 142 Law Enforcement Officers that lost their lives in the line of duty across the United States. This year’s Police Unity riders will be Sergeant Aaron O’Neil, Sergeant Scott van Raalten, and Detective William Burchard from the Hopkinton Police Department and Sergeant Paul Parlon from the University of Massachusetts, Boston Police Department.

The Police Unity Tour Chapter II consists of Law Enforcement Officers bicycling from New Jersey to Washington D.C. to honor Fallen Officers who have died in the line of duty. The primary purpose of the Police Unity Tour is to raise awareness of the Police Officers who have died in the line of duty and raise monetary support and awareness of the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund and Museum located in Washington D.C., as well as giving support to the family members of the fallen officers.

The 4 day Police Unity Tour will be begin in South Jersey on May 9, 2017 visiting some of the towns where officers have fallen in the line of duty before departing the state enroute to the nation’s capital. The police officers will ride close to 300 miles enroute to the National Law Enforcement Memorial in Washington DC. The Police Unity Tour is a non-profit organization under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue code (Tax Identification Number 20-8960869).

The National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial was founded in 1983 by members of the United States Congress, who wanted to recognize the services and sacrifices of all enforcement officers who have ever died in the line of duty. Unlike other memorials in our nation’s capital, this memorial will continue to grow each year as we honor the officers that have made the ultimate sacrifice.

This year will be Aaron’s eighth ride, Paul’s seventh ride, Scott’s fourth ride and William’s third ride, and without your continuing support, we would not be able ride in honor of those who had made the ultimate sacrifice. Any amount of a donation would be greatly appreciated, and we thank you for your generosity and support.

Much gratitude,

            Aaron, Scott, William and Paul
