Marty vs Stage 3C Ovarian Cancer!!

Donation protected
Cancer is a club no person ever wants to join.
I awoke immediately after surgery with the doctor’s voice near my ear,
“You have cancer.”
Being diagnosed with stage 3C ovarian cancer was and is a shock to the mind, body and spirit.
Two years ago, I was a busy mom working in and outside the home. On weekends, my husband and I would divide our time between volunteering for a civic organization and church activities. I worked as a school food technician (lunch lady). With those skills I would volunteer to organize and help feed my church’s teens at summer camp, and sometimes I would even
find time to create pieces of art to sell locally and online.
But now all of that is gone…
During my first cycle of chemotherapy I was not aware that oncologists treat late stage ovarian cancer as a chronic disease. So when I was finished and was in remission, I thought “Yeah! I beat the dragon!”
Ten months later I was back for another cycle. We just cried… My hair was finally long enough for me to have a haircut. Feeling had come back in my fingers. The steroid bloat was receding. I had started to remember my former self.
While enduring this second cycle of chemo and all of the awful side effects there was a mantra running in my head: “There HAS to be a better way!”
Vitamin C infusions have been documented as a treatment for the kind of cancer I have. This form of treatment has been going on for years in
places like University of Kansas Medical Center, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, Wycoff Wellness Center, among many others.

Unlike traditional chemotherapy, vitamin C infusions have no harmful side effects, and the infusions will help repair (not tear) my body. The course of treatment is two vitamin C IV infusions each week, for a year. The high dose Vitamin C turns into hydrogen peroxide in the body to help reduce or eliminate the tumors that Chemo did not.

This is the ‘way’ I was hoping to find throughout my last round of chemo, and I am here asking for financial help to pay for what my health insurance does not cover. I am and will be forever grateful for the care I
have received throughout my journey with cancer from the nurses and
doctors at ***. I have waited to be in remission, which I currently am (yeah!) in order to be eligible to receive this treatment.

While I am asking for your help, I am also trying to raise awareness of another tool in the cancer fighting arsenal. What I’ve learned from this
experience is that one can’t beat cancer alone, it takes a community of supporters. Thank you for reading my story and for contributing what you can.
