Bringing our sister Marlene Padilla Home
Marlene Padilla dedicated her life to serving the community. Now it is our turn to return the favor by bringing her, our sister, home.
Earlier this month, Marlene Padilla left to South Korea to fulfill her dream as an English Instructor. After less than a week in training, Marlene suffered a brain aneurism/stroke that left her in a coma and life support. It is with heavy heart to announce that Marlene has journeyed to our Heavenly Father. Her family needs us more than ever to support in bringing her body back to the United States and providing her with a funeral reception fit for a hero that she truly is. Our sister and her family need us, any monetary donation will contribute significantly to the needs of the family. Thank you
For those who did not have the opportunity to meet Marlene, Marlene Padilla spent her last three years of college as a Corps member and Team Leader for Jumpstart for Young Children, serving preschool children from low income families in Compton, California. She recently received her B.S. in Child Development from California State University, Dominguez Hills. Although her life was cut short, Marlene lived a full life and made tremendous impact in so many lives especially in the lives of children she served.
