Missions Funding while in Uganda

What a whirlwind this past year has been.  It was almost a year ago that God spoke to Sue and told her to “Get prepared” and to “Trust Me”. About that same time I felt in my heart and spirit that we would soon be heading to Africa.

Well, that time has arrived! We are “trusting” and “preparing” to leave July 27 of this year for Africa: Uganda, East Africa, to be precise! Sue and I have accepted positions at the Heritage International School, located in Kampala, Uganda. Upon arrival I will take over the position of Middle School/High School Principal, and Sue will teach Middle School History, Math and Science classes. We are excited to get there and get started.

We have a lot of preparation for such an endeavor, from vaccinations, passports, airline tickets, preparing our house, selling the car…, and the list goes on. All those are needed and necessary; but, there are two other areas that also need attention, and those are: Prayer and Finances!

Prayer is an essential covering for missionaries, and we desire your prayers. We ask that you pray that God would use us for His purposes, and that he would also keep us safe and healthy. We would also like prayer for a safe and easy transition, especially for my Mom, as she will be accompanying us on this journey.

Financial support is also essential, and I am coming to you today, asking and praying, that you would join us in this exciting adventure. As we commit ourselves to the Lord and for His service, please pray with us that God would open the hearts of individuals to support us either on a one-time-basis or on a monthly basis. The school is offering us a small salary; but, it simply will not meet all our needs. Merely preparing to get to Uganda is expensive: Shots, airfare, passports, visas, household items, medicines, and other necessities will cost several thousand dollars. And well, without mincing words…“We need your help!”

100% of your contributions will be used to get us to Uganda and to keep us there for as long as God desires.
