We would like to introduce you to an amazing woman, mother, friend, coach, sister, aunt, daughter and colleague, Marianne Shepherd! Marianne has been diagnosed with Invasive Ductal Carcinoma...better known as the frightening and scary term, Breast Cancer!
Marianne is a beautiful, vibrant woman who loves to live life to its fullest. She is the proud single mother of a precious and sweet 12 year old daughter, that is definitely her "Mini Me" and the apple of her Momma's eye!
She is a loyal, hardworking, dedicated Accounts Receivable Manager at the Padgett Group, in which she has gratefully worked for over 14 years. Marianne feels blessed to not only work for and with the amazing and caring people of the Padgett Group, but also considers them to be a part of her extended family!
Marianne loves to teach and coach her little Blue Smurfs soccer team and is honored to sit on the board of the Mountain City Soccer Club. She loves God and serving others not only at Revolution Church, but in life in general. Somehow she also finds time to be an A college student working towards her Accounting degree!
Traveling back home to Norway to visit her family, or having them come to America to visit, is a huge blessing when the opportunity arises, and are times that Marianne truly looks forward to. She also enjoys quiet times sitting in front of the fire pit roasting marshmallows with her dear friends’ right in her own back yard.
Marianne tackles each challenge in life with a smile and a thankful attitude. She would rather give to others than receive, and rarely asks others for help. Hence, why we are reaching out to all of you on her behalf. She NEEDS our help!
Marianne is facing extensive medical fees to cover at least two surgeries to remove the cancer and reconstruct the damage. There will be a multitude of Hospital bills, Misc. fees, lab test, co-pays, etc.
As we are at the beginning of her journey, none of us can possibly know what she will face over the next few months and year to come. We feel that her immediate needs are PRAYERS, first and foremost. She will also need all of the emotional & spiritual support that she can get from all of us. As a single mom, she will also need our help financially to cover medical expenses and whatever needs present themselves during this journey of her life.
