MEET CHARLOTTE!
Many of you may know her as the ‘seamstress’ in the area, but here is what you may not know. Charlotte lives in a small home with her beloved dog Bebe. She has lived in the community for over 30 years and owns the house outright. Though she recently experienced misfortunes, she has not let them steal her joy. She is in remission from breast cancer and has other minor medical conditions, but has good insurance to help with medications. She has a small stable income through social security, and anything she makes from sewing is a bonus. Her only living daughter and son-in-law have been generous in paying for her gas, light bill, dog food, and even bought her a car. Charlotte LOVES living life as best as she can, and is humbled by the generosity of the community. One of the things Charlotte expressed the most desire for is a wrought iron door so she can feel safe and sleep at night. Her AC is also out and the cost of a replacement is about $1200 according to Seth Higgins from ASR Mechanical who will be donating their time, delivery and installation of the equipment.
Charlotte feels “so very blessed” by the kindness already poured out on her, and is very appreciative of the continued offers to help.
