Hello fellow musical theatre and music lovers!
My name is Mandy Rose Nichols. I am a working actor living in Seattle, Washington.
I have been given an incredible opportunity; I have been cast as Eponine in Les Miserables!! It is the show that inspired me to pursue theatre as a career when I was young and I adore the chance to inspire hope and encourage a love of theatre in others - especially the smallish bears! WE NEED ART!
This particular production is bound to be astonishing; with Broadway veteran Lanny Mitchell at our helm as Jean Valjean, direction by Emmy award winner Alan Beck, and music direction from Grammy and Oscar winner, Larry Kenton.
As every artist knows, much of our art comes at a struggle, and at a price. Such is true in my case. This production is 5 hours away from my home. I am already scripmping and saving every extra dollar I get to do this, and am willing to do whatever it takes to make it happen. That said, I sure would love to mitigate the extra financial strain an undertaking like this could cause. ANYTHING will help and is appreciated, and this campaign doesn't need to fully fund for me to storm the barricade.
So, here I am - asking for your help.
My plan is to take the train back and forth for rehearsals. The production staff on this project knows where I live and is willing to work with me. I wouldn't be doing it everyday, but rather maybe once a week. Monies raised would go to cover travel and some board (room is being provided).
I know this may seem trivial in light of many of the things being promoted here on GoFundMe. This is just crowdfunding to help a girl, live part of a dream... before she gets shot while being friendzoned.
