Schlosser Family Fire Relief Fund

Donation protected
Many of you know and love the Schlossers.   On August 25, 2015, they lost their house, their dog and almost all of their belongings to a devastating fire.    They will have immediate needs and expenses that need to be filled as they will be eating out a lot, replacing clothing, and many other necessary items that are immediately necessary.  They are a family that has loved on so many others and it would be great if we could return a token of that love during this time.    This account was set up by people who love the Schlossers without their knowledge or request and the funds will be directly deposited to their bank account to help with their immediate needs.

I wanted to allow the Schlosser's to tell what happened in their own words.  This is a Facebook post from the morning of August 26, 2015.

"Dear FB friends and family,

As many of you already know, we had a fire that destroyed our house yesterday. Not only did we lose our house, but we lost our beautiful dog Heidi. She was just as much a family member as any human could ever be. She was the family "baby" and was always the center of attention in our house. I can't even find the words to describe what she meant to us and how much she will be missed.

Our home is a complete loss and all of our contents are destroyed, but we did find a few miracles so far. A closet under the stairs was spared by fire. Inside were many plastic totes filled with our priceless family photos that can't be replaced. Most of the photos remained dry and the rest were laid out in our neighbor's workshop to dry. Our master closet safe also protected our important documents with ziplock baggies keeping them dry. I will never again poke fun at Caroline's obsession with plastic totes and baggies!

We have so many people to thank for their show of support that I can't even name everyone. But a special thanks to all of the fire/police first responders who battled hard to save Heidi and our house. The stories were truly heroic. Brazoria County was amazing! I want to thank our family members, all my law enforcement brothers/sisters, Alvin ISD family, Southpark Baptist Church family, and Savannah Plantation neighbors for all their support on scene yesterday. A special thanks to Casey and Sandy Holdsclaw who made their home our command post during and after the fire. We can't thank them enough!

I want to thank everyone for the various messages and calls received, I wish I had time to answer every message personally with all the details. We will keep everyone updated as our new adventure begins. Even though this can be viewed as a tragedy, we want to take a moment to thank God for keeping us safe.

Thanks to Everyone,
The Schlosser's"
