Help Mendy go to Summer Camp!

Hello all my friends. I still feel incredibly indebted to all the wonderful people who helped fund Mendy's Safety Sleeper. I hate doing this again - I hate having to turn to you generous wonderful people once again to help raise funds for Mendy's needs. But since you're reading anyway, here's the story.
As you know, living with Mendy is incredibly challenging. He is a constant bundle of energy, an endless tornado of destruction, always on the move seeking stimulation and sensory input. Summers were particularly difficult. Staying with him in the city was not an option - he thrives upstate among the grass, trees, playgrounds and swimming pool. He makes the most progress all year in the summer, when he has a broadened social setting and the freedom to run around. We tried going to a bungalow colony for three summers in a row and it was disastrous; I could not manage him on my own. Two summers ago when I was due to give birth we sent Mendy to Camp Menucha (formerly Mishkon) for the summer and it was a blessing for everyone involved. The family got much needed respite and Mendy thrived in the outdoor environment. The counselors and staff are incredibly dedicated and he loved every minute. Last summer he went again, and we hope and look forward to sendin him again this summer.

The costs for a camp like Camp Menucha are prohibitive. The Board of Ed does not pay for it. Along with a scholarship, some reimbursements from Medicaid Waiver services, and money from our own pockets, we managed to cover part of it - but we're still $975 short. We will dip into our pockets again, but unfortunately we cannot afford the entire amount.
As I said I hate doing this. I don't like taking handouts and I don't like to feel that I'm taking advantage of other people's kindness and generosity. But seeing the success of my previous attempt to raise money for Mendy's needs, I decided it wouldn't hurt to try to see if I could come up with a little something to defray this outstanding bill.
If you think you can spare a few dollars to help us pay our outstanding bill at Camp Menucha, I would appreciate it immensely. This will enable this wonderful camp to continue doing its amazing work in helping families like mine and their special childrne. Thank you so much for your generosity!
