Russell (Rusty) Johnson
Last night Russ passed away. We are still in shock and Im having trouble writing this, but I wanted to let you all know. I am going to keep this fund raiser open to help with remaining medical expences and funeral services. Russ was an amazing and wonderful person and I am so grateful to have known him. Thank you so much for your kindness and support.

If you have lived in the Wakefield, Stoneham area, you may have come into contact with Russ Johnson. Russ not only grew up in Melrose, but has resided in Wakefield his whole married life. Russ has tirelessly worked for over 35 years in the flooring business, perhaps laying a new carpet or new floor in your home.
I remember Russ being on “This Old House” installing a new floor with Bob Villa. He was and still is a star! Now Russ needs our help.
He has been married to Jane for 36 years and has 2 children, Jackie and Russ III. He has the closest knit family you would ever come to know. Their selflessness and emotional support will help the family deal with Russ’ recent diagnosis of pancreatic cancer.
However, with Russ unable to work and provide for his family, we are hoping the community will rally around the Johnson family and help defray the costs of Russ’ care.
This is a proud – hard working family, so let’s try to keep this a surprise and hopefully hit the goal. (TBD) Money should be the last thing this family has to worry about right now.
