Hello, my name is Brittany and I am begging for your help. My husband and I work constantly rescuing, rehabilitating, fostering and adopting out animals. Ever since I was a child I knew what I wanted to do. I had a dream to open up my own shelter for animals that needed sever rehabilitation and were deemed un adoptable. Every day I see so many dogs being put down because of issues that they may have and many rescues will not accept a dog if the animal displays aggressive behavior. When my husband and I bought our first home we knew what to do with the three acres, we had a dream to open Lugert Acres Rescue. We worked very hard to achieve our goal but life changed in July 2014, we got into a horrible car accident that has left me with permeate damage, medical bills over $25,00 and growing, and my husband the only one working because the extent of my pain. While I was in a wheelchair dogs still needed our help even though we had no money for place to put them I was determined to save them. We have eight rescue dogs and growing. Every day I get calls about dogs in urgent need of rescue and have no other options. When an animal has no help I am the one to step in and give it a chance at life and work day and night helping them. Where we live we have no fence for our dogs and that is very dangerous as some of the dogs i have have been beaten, have sever anxiety issues, and need a safe area to be outside. We have taken in every case you can think of parvo, malnurishment, abuse, fighting dogs and behavioral issues. There is nothing I will not try to help. There is a major need for a rescue that deals with severe issues and death row dogs. Please help me in opening Lugert Acres Rescue a 501C non profit rescue for a last chance at life. We need to build a fence for the dogs to run in, vaccinations, dog food, and building a facility. We will even take donated items such as food, cages, ect. Help me give hope to animals that have no opportunity at life.
