Help My Son's Dream To Walk Again
Donation protected
My son was born a very healthy baby and developed well into childhood. To say he loved playing football was a understatement. He played for Wealdstone Football club and was very talented. Unfortunately when he was 9 years old he started getting terrible headaches which then resulted in him being sick all the time. He had a CT scan which revealed he had a brain tumour and fluid on the brain. He was operated on straight away to take the brain tumour out and drain the fluid but he caught two very serious infections which was MRSA and E-Coli in the brain whilst in hospital, one which resulted Luke being rushed to intensive care where he spent ten days in there. After six months in hospital Luke was transferred to our local hospital, which he stayed in there for 7 weeks. Eventually Luke went to rehab to try and get his muscles working by having daily physio and enjoyed swimming there. He spent six months there. Luke has epilepsy now and has to have a carer and has to depend on using a wheelchair and he has to use it all the time. Over the years Luke has had quite a few more operations to drain fluid from his brain. To say he is Brave is a understatement, he hasn't once complained to anyone of all the suffering and numerous operations he has had to have. He has always says to me "mum when I am walking again I would love to play football", this breaks my heart. I am trying to fund raise for a REX robotic suit so my son can at least be free to walk again. This is his DREAM and I would love for it to become REAL for him. Please donate whatever you can.
