Our Story
Divas In Defense was started by two brothers who witnessed domestic violence first hand. They are now fathers with daughters and significant others in which they’ve pledged to prevent the violence, which was witnessed by them, against as many women and girls as possible.
We are asking for donations to contine the support and great job that the Parntership Against Domestic Violence PADV does for the Georgia community. In return you will recieve a FREE Love Me Pain Free Button or Sticker to bring national awareness to the issues faced by battered women and their children.
Basic Facts:
1 in 3 women experience domestic violence during their lifetime.
Each day, 4 women die at the hands of an intimate partner.
A woman is abused every 15 seconds in the United States.
35% of all emergency room calls are a result of domestic violence (the leading cause of injury to women in the United States).
In the United States, a woman is more likely to be assaulted, raped, or killed by an intimate partner than by any other type of assailant.
