Love4Lynsee-A Medical Expense Fund

Donation protected
I have seen a million and one Go Fund Me Accounts float through my social media. I never thought I would be setting one up. Especially under these circumstances.  However, it is a privelege to do this and come together as a community to be the hands and feet of Jesus for this family.  Here's the story.

Lynsee Reneau was traveling on a Highway in Scott Co. on May 3rd. Her sister and almost 2 year old Son were in the car with her.  Her Mom was in a car 5 minutes behind her. Her other sister Keisha and her husband 5 minutes ahead.  They were all headed to eat a Sunday family dinner when a metal rod struck Lynsee's windshield. The rod punctured Lynsee's face and pinned her to the seat.  Caitlyn was able to reach over with her foot and stop the car and pull over. She called 911, then called Keisha to come back.  Their Mom, Melinda, drove up on it. I cannot imagine how they felt in that moment. Caitlyn and Lynsee's son were unharmed. Thank you Lord. However, Lynsee was airlifted to UT Medical Center in Knoxville, TN.

She underwent surgery to repair Arteries and her face.  Her surgery went well but, the doctors said she would face more surgery in the future.  The hours to come were difficult. A CT Scan revealed Lynsee had a stroke at some point.  The doctors reported a lot of damage from the stroke and now, she currently has swelling on her brain. Lynsee is fighting for her life.

The Reneau family lives 1-1/2 hours away from UT Medical Center.  They are going to need travel and food expenses.  Beyond that, Lynsee is aquiring thousands of dollars in Medical Expenses as we speak. Lifestar (airlift) alone can be $20,000-$30,000.  She is a single Mom. Her fiance (her son's father) passed away a few days before Christmas in 2014. She is the only parent her son has left.   Lynsee's family will have a huge financial responisibility with her and her son.

I took some necessities to the hospital last night. I thought I would be there for maybe 30 minutes. However, I found myself sitting with the family and I could not leave.  I felt helpless. I wish I could take it away from them.  It felt like a bad dream and we would all wake up and everything would be normal. I wish that were the case.  I sat there and prayed. I prayed for them, I prayed for Lynsee, I prayed for her son and I prayed for what God wanted me to do for the family.   I had started a small collection to get them a hotel room for a night or two, but as I sat there, I realized how big of a need this is for the Reneau family.

My prayers are little and this is the least I can do for them.  However, if we all come together, then we can make a big difference!  Money will not take away the heart ache. Nor will it heal Lynsee. But, it will help with a HUGE financial burden.  This will allow them to focus on Lynsee, her son and healing. If we all give $1 that will be a huge difference.  If you can give more, that is fine too.  Anything will be appreciated.  More than money, prayers are desired!
