The Long Walk South

I'm leaving to go get on the Appalachian Trail in July, and I'm going to hike all 2,183 miles (Aprox) of it over the next 5 months or so. This is an adventure, to say the least and the support I've gotten from my friends, family and coworkers is amazing.

I'll be hiking south, from Baxter State Park in Maine and traveling through 14 different states and eventually I'll end up in Georgia at Springer Mountain. While I'm hiking, I'll be carrying all my own food and shelter on my back and encountering such things as mountains, fog, rain, black flies and beautiful sunsets.
