ARTIST APPRECIATION (BAY)

1. ***ARTIST APPRECIATION NOTE***
The Black All Year Event Committee is seeking your support for our 2015 Celebration.  At Black All Year we believe that local artists are often underpaid, undervalued jewels in our community.  It is ironic that sometimes the people at the heart of the celebration; are often times the least celebrated. Our goal is to someday grow large enough to compensate the artists that perform on our stage for all that they are worth.  Until then we need your help. Please find it in your heart and account to donate $10 and help us provide the young leaders that perform at Black All Year 2015 with a $75 stipend for all the positivity they will inspire in our event and community.

Even with your support we would never be able to pay these artists their worth for their hour’s invested and overall contribution to our events, initiatives and communities.  But if we can provide them a reasonable reward to show them how much we appreciate them then we have taken a step in the right direction.  Our Goal is to raise $2K in 2 Months, that’s only $10 dollars from 200 people.  With your help we can easily reach that goal.  Please donate $10 dollars or whatever you can to the BAY artist appreciation fund, you will not only help put some change in these artists pockets, you will help change the way we honor the contributions of the artists in our communities.


2. ***APPRECIATING LOCAL ARTISTS***

LightSpeed is ever grateful to local artists for sharing their gifts with us and the community. Artists do not often receive this kind of acknowledgement but they are one of the most sacred assets to our communities.  Through their work they inspire us to reflect, re-evaluate and grow in more ways than can be measured. We thank them for allowing us these opportunities to experience the world through their lenses.

LightSpeed strives to be a voice and institution to the people we serve.  In our eyes we are more than an entertainment company we are a resource to our community. Part of being a resource to means that while we seek opportunities for this company, we seek mutual benefits for the people involved in our work. This is why we are striving to ensure that all artists that step foot on our stages are reasonably compensated for all they give. Look at the artists below and see who you recognize of friends, family or artists you favor.  Support them and donate $10 or whatever you can afford, all gifts are greatly appreciated, may God return your good works.
