Yo! little pharmer is getting out of town! We are America bound! The new lineup has been graciously accepted to play the Northwest Folklife Festival in Seattle. Yessss..... !
This spring marks a decade of gaining momentum and support for songwriter Cam Twyford here in his adopted home of Powell River. It takes a community to raise a frontman, and dearest supporters the love has not gone unnoticed.
4 years ago Twyford made his first studio record with Tom Dowdng and little pharmer was born. 2 records and some adventurous experimentation later, Tom and Cam are now blessed with the arrival of drummer Kyle Araki. The triangle is complete.
So. Seattle.
Northwest Folklife is a free to attend festival in the heart of downtown which attracts over 200,000 people every year. It relys completely on donations and volunteers to function. Performers (over 6000!) play for free.
Now folks, here comes the call for help. I told my band that my fans would back me up. Let it be true! We need to fund this mission!
We've estimated the cost to be around 1000 dollars, including accomodation, gas, ferries, border permits, etc. if we come in under budget, rest assured that any remaing funds will stay in the kitty for the next mission.
Plans are already in the works for a summer BC tour.
