Meet Noah Harrison. He is one years old and has been put through more adversity and pain than any child should go through. His mother was granted custody of Noah, but Noah’s family came to find out that his mother didn’t possess the ability to take care of Noah. In fact, Noah was often neglected and abused by his mother. Child services were contacted and Noah was removed from his mother’s custody and his father, Willie, gained custody. Now, to many of us who have not experienced or witnessed abuse and neglect, this seems like Noah was put through enough. It seems as though Noah should’ve been spared from the tragic events that followed.
Just days after the jubilee of Noah entering Willie’s life again, Willie was involved in a fatal car crash that left Noah fatherless. Willie and a work friend, Milton, were driving down a service road when they swerved off the road and collided with many trees. Milton and Willie were both pronounced dead on impact. Just days after the joy of Willie’s life had come back, Willie’s life was ended. Video evidence now shows that a truck had run them off the road and into the trees. Just imagine the pain and sorrow Noah will have to overcome in order to lead a normal life. But Noah is not alone. Willie’s eldest brother, TJ, has taken custody of Noah and will also have to overcome grief and sorrow to help raise Noah to be a good and prosperous person.
TJ can’t do it alone though. Not only is he raising his brother’s son, but TJ also has to pay for Willie’s funeral. He has been forced to take out loans in order to pay for the funeral costs, but he can’t pay them back. He is also burdened to take care of Willie’s son, Noah. In order to insure Noah’s future, TJ would like to start a college fund. This college fund would help TJ give Noah the opportunity to live a prosperous life. This is the exact reason why The Erlanger Agency has teamed up with to help pay back the loans for Willie’s funeral and create a college fund for Noah. But, we can’t do it alone.
