My mother Lisa Diane Williams at the age of 52, recently passed away from anoxic brain injury after weeks of being on life support. This campaign is to cover expenses for her arrangements which includes a memorial service to celebrate her life.
My mother was born in Ridgely, Tennessee and raised my sister and I in the Fillmore District of San Franisco, California. She worked hard to provide for our family as a Certified Nursing Assistant often times doing the impossible to make ends meet. After 20 years as a CNA she became permanently disabled before she could retire.
She was a survivor of trauma and managed numerous chronic and acute health conditions always with a bright disposition, her head held high and a smile on her face. My mother was so strong, beautiful, generous, and independent. She never complained too much about her challenges in life, she always made a way. When crisis would happen she always would get back up and keep going.
My mother was a Southern woman who loved to laugh, dance, eat good food, talk on the phone, listen to music, get dressed up and was always there for the people she loved. She took time to remember everyone's birthday, wedding, graduation, new additions to the family and to celebrate every holiday with love.
We want to remember, celebrate and honor her life and all the love and light that she brought to this world.
