Likoni Aids Orphanage in Kenya

Hi Everyone,
As most of you know, I spent time in Nairobi & Mombasa, Kenya working in an Orphanage and Teaching English to Primary School aged children a few years ago.
To say the least, it was the most eye-opening, humbling, and satisfying experience I had ever had as a traveler. I fell in Love!!
The Likoni Aids Orphanage is a Christian based orphanage that houses 45-55 kids at any given time. The children who have been estranged from their biological families are housed, fed, clothed, and given spiritual, social, and educational guidance at the Orphanage. They are in need of a lot of support to continue providing for these children, and I’d like to help, but I can’t do it without YOU!! I’ll be returning to Kenya in June and Cannot go back empty handed.
How You can help:
1st I'd like to say, I will be utilizing my own resources to get me to my destination. So all of the money I receive will be to help the children.
It's my heart’s desire to raise money to help purchase necessities like mattresses, medicine, toiletries, food, toys, books, etc. It will not only be easier and most cost effective for me to purchase many of these items in the country, but will also aid in helping the Kenyan economy.
Ex:
$8= 1 pair of tennis shoes
$10 = 2 chicks (for egg production)
$30= 2 new mattresses
$50= 1 book per child in orphanage
$500= 1 Dairy Cow (for milking)
Any amount of money donated will be gratefully appreciated and used wisely!!!
The support I receive from you all will be immeasurable. It’s no doubt that it is Gods will, as he instructs us in Psalm 82:3 to “Defend the weak and the fatherless; uphold the cause of the poor and the oppressed”. Will you help me in doing the will of our Heavenly Father?
