As of today, September 16, 2014, American Student Loan debt has surpassed $1.2 trillion according to the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. According to an article written in Forbes magazine, two-thirds of Americans graduate from colleges and universities in some level of debt. That's right. Two-thirds graduate with the burden and crippling shackles of student debt. Student loans greatly affect ones ability to get a mortgage, a car loan, and for some it hinders the simple day to day needs that we take for granted. High interest rates make it impossible to put a solid dent in your principle amount. As demonstrated in the video created by Paloma Izquierdo- it shows the fruitless battle of life paying student loan bills. The goal of this gofundme account is to end this crisis once and for all. As you can see the limit is $1 million. I guess it won't stop there but that is where we will start. There is going to be a link that will directly set up to an email account. This is where ANYONE with student debt can send his or her information to. Your information will be placed on the Liberation List. Please include your full name, contact information and amount of your debt. Every single month, from the money received, a person will be selected at random. This person will be contacted and their debt will be paid in full. This will continue every month- as long as the money is being donated. NO FUNDS WILL BE KEPT. No funds will issued for any other purpose other than to the individuals selected monthly for the purpose of erasing their debt. I have a beautiful 3-year-old son. I hope that when his time comes to go to college, this leap of faith that I am taking in creating this gofundme account, will have changed the nation and affected our system so greatly that he will have no loans. That our great country will have made a higher education affordable for all. This is the land of the free.
