Lea's Bio:
Lea Cappelli has done more than most musicians do in a lifetime. Some highlights include performing privately for Muhammad Ali, sharing the stage with Jakob Dylan and Katherine McPhee at actress Jane Seymour’s Open Heart Foundation Gala, and performing with Grammy winner India.Arie. Lea’s cover of Peggy Lee’s legendary “Angels On Your Pillow,” was used by NBC in its original television promo for the wildly popular show, “The Voice.” Lea has written with some of the industry’s top writers and producers including Grammy award-winning Adonis Shropshire, Tyrone Wells, Bruce Springsteen’s producer Ron Aniello, and the uniquely talented English singer-songwriter, Fink. She is currently working on her first full-length album.
Personal Message from Lea:
i know this sounds insane to those of you who know how many years i've been gigging, but this will be the first time i'll have the chance to release a singular collection of original music all at once. this is such a big deal to me.
i've had such an amazing experience of trial & error (and error and error) while on the stage, but for a long time i just didn't feel comfortable performing originals because i felt like they weren't quite "there" yet. i feel very different now. although i feel that my writing state is fluid and ever-changing, the state that i'm in now is closer to where i have always imagined myself than ever before.
i want to thank everyone who has been so supportive of myself thus far. i am so grateful for the constant support from family, friends, and people that i've met at shows along the way.
we are planning on creating four songs for the ep. below i'll break down where all of the money will be going:
it takes $4,000 to create one song, so that will be $16,000 for all four.. these expenses include studio time, production costs, musicians, and mixing/mastering the music. the remaining $4,000 will go toward marketing the ep once it is done, and music videos.. we have decided to create four simple videos for each song.
the more we raise, the better!
this ep will not only be available on soundcloud, but we'll be shopping it around to labels as well. the goal is to turn it into something bigger. most artists (like myself) can't afford to fund an entire album nowadays, let alone an ep. so my plan is to create these four songs and show the labels that i have something to offer.
p.s..
once our target goal is reached, i'll be releasing a special cover.. one of my favorite songs. it will be released on youtube and as a free download on soundcloud. i sincerely hope you enjoy it as much as i do.
once we're finished i'll be back again.. that's when the most important work is done. it would be amazing if you could share share share with as many people as possible!
