You can be a part of a grassroots effort to honor Louisville (KY) native and Academy-Award winner Jennifer Lawrence!
The Greater Louisville Pride Foundation's Hometown Heroes program honors some of our city's most famous sons, daughters and events. The featured "heroes" are nominated by private groups or individuals who also have to raise the money to have their nominee recognized.
As local teenage girls who have grown up admiring Jennifer Lawrence, we are working to raise enough money to have her honored with one of the giant banners posted on buildings around our city.
But, we need your help!
By donating to this effort you will be taking part in a program that will recognize one of Louisville's most famous citizens and a woman who has been an inspiration to girls (like us) all over the world. She's proof that it's OK to follow your dreams as long as you're true to yourself.
Any funds raised in excess of the cost to print and install the Hometown Heroes banner will be donated to Jennifer's charity, The Lawrence Foundation .
