Langtoun Jazz Mini Festival 2019

At our AGM on 15th April we agreed a programme in principal for our Mini Festival from 25th October to 27th October and decided to have a nominated charity to benefit from events that are planned.
I am happy to announce that Kirkcaldy Foodbank will be our nominated charity.
We plan to have a whole day of jazz on 27th October at venues in Merchant's Quarter with various acts in MQ Cafe, Betty Nicols, Cupcake Coffee Box and perhaps a couple of others and offer these events to the public for a low price with ALL PROCEEDS going to the Foodbank.
In order to do this we need funding to pay the bands so we have applied to various official bodies but had limited success.
We have also been hosting concerts all year and have raised limited funds from those so we do need a bit more help to cover costs.
We will also have 3 ticketed events on 25th & 26th at Kirkcaldy Old Kirk, to allow us to continue planning for a bigger summer festival in 2020
We hope to keep ticket prices for these concerts at a reasonable level but if we don't secure enough funding ticket prices will have to cover band fees.
To further benefit Kirkcaldy Foodbank we also plan to have bucket collections at the 25th & 26th October events and we plan to run a raffle all weekend and share proceeds 50/50 between Kirkcaldy Foodbank & Langtoun Jazz.
We have revealed bands playing on the charity day in our updates and we will reveal the full programme at a Summer Party Launch Event on 19th July at Kirkcaldy Old Kirk with Dan Shout, a top class sax player from South Africa, who is coming to Scotland especially to do this one gig for us along with Jean-Baptiste Richon Trio from Edinburgh
