NEEDED: Education Support to complete higher secondary education in Nepal
Special thanks to those who supported our last campaign to raise funds to help financially disadvantaged students start their 10+2 education (http://www.gofundme.com/5h4yq0). Because of your generous donations, we were able to support the first year of education for five students from Lakure Bhanjya, a hilltop in the outskirts of Kathmandu Valley. We are now requesting another round of support so that they can complete their final year of 10+2 education.
The students we are trying to help risk discontinuation of their studies due to economic reasons. They come from very underprivileged background. Among the students we are supporting, four of them are of indigenous (janajaati) ethnic background from an area desperately in need of role models for younger students. If we provide them opportunities to obtain higher education, the students in lower grades may also be inspired to study even harder. This is one of the main reasons why we are trying our best to support these students.
In this regard, we are seeking help from all our friends and families to contribute small amount of donations and help us help those students complete their 10+2 education. We can play a part in helping them realize their hopes for better future.
