Every child deserves a chance to experience every joy in the world, but unfortunately when a child is born with a disability, that option becomes very difficult for parents to provide their child. Simple things like going out to eat, going to the park, or theme parks and family vacations are nearly impossible when your child struggles to be around loud noises and bright lights or their physical limitations do not allow them to climb stairs or sit on swings. 
In San Antonio , Texas an amazing family built a place that allows children with a variety of Disabililties to experience life without any concern of what they can't do. The worlds first ultra-accessible theme park. At Morgan's Wonderland all things are possible!
We are asking for help to raise money to fund a trip to Morgans Wonderland for 15 amazing, strong, and unique children who were given the gift of being different in our world. These children are all students in the ALE class at Shugart Elementary in Garland, Texas. ALE stands for "Alternate Learning Environment". Our students all require special modifications in order to be successful in their educational and personal lives. Our students' disabilIties range from Intellectual Disabililties, Down Syndrome, and Autism.
We will take all 15 students and one parent of each child on a 3 day trip of a lifetime! The trip will begin on a charter bus ride from Garland to San Antonio, a 5 hour drive in comfort. We will stay just minutes away from the theme park at the Comfort Suites where each family will have their own room in order to keep their child comfortable and on their own schedule, which is very important for many of our students. All meals are included for everyone, from breakfast at the hotel, lunch at the theme park, and dinner on the Riverwalk every night. Most of our families rarely go out to eat due to the fear of judgement of others, but when they are being supported and surrounded by 14 other families who understand, they experience a strength and sense of acceptance they have never felt before. This trip is truly once on a life time for our families.
