Hello friends and family. Most of you are aware of the constant battles the Graham’s face, and fight, for the love of the children that were placed in their care. But for those of you that are not aware, here is a brief summary of their story.
The Graham’s journey into foster parenting started about 7 years ago. Since then, we have witness their love and devotion to the children that were trusted in their care. We have also witness their heart-ache and frustration as they faced, time and time again, the unexplainable and incomprehensible bureaucracy battles that they have had to face…all for the love of the children.
They have had to fight, emotionally and financially, to keep the children safe. Just this year, they finally saw the sunrise in the horizon when the parental rights for the two older children were terminated. This meant that they could formally start the process for adoption. In as much as they rejoiced with the good news, they still worried about the two younger ones. We joined them in prayer that the two younger ones would soon follow and have the same results.
Sadly, however, and to everyone involved surprise, recently the case took a turn for the worse. To everyone’s amazement, the two younger children started the process to return, permanently to the birth mother. Additionally, the adoption process for the two older ones has been placed on hold due to an appeal from both the birth mother and father. The Graham’s are, understandably heart-broken and concerned for the safety and well-being of the children. As most of you know, the environment to which these children are now being exposed to is far from the safe and loving environment that they are used to.
The legal expense associated with having a good legal-team can be overwhelming and at times, this expense will leave families with the inability to secure and/or receive the proper legal representation. That is why I am humbly reaching out to all of you. Would you join me in helping the Graham’s raise funds for the legal representation needed to continue the good fight for the safety and well-being of these precious children?
While the money we need to raise seems formidable to us, we know, and stand firm in the faith that we serve an Omnipotent God who has no boundaries or limits and whose blessings continue to surpass all of our wildest imaginations! We are grateful for any amount you can spare to help the Graham’s in their on-going journey. I leave you with the scripture of Nehemiah 4 and I pray that you would join us in “rebuilding a wall of love and safety” around the children. That you might be able, with one hand, to hand the Graham’s a brick with your monetary contribution; and, with the other hand, that you would continue to raise them in prayer.
“…the laborers carried on their work with one hand supporting their load and one hand holding a weapon.” Nehemiah 4:17
