In Memory Of K-9 Sultan

Raising money for protection vests for all patrol dogs for the Riverside County Sheriff's Department K-9 Patrol Unit. In honor of slain K-9 Officer "Sultan", EOW 1-21-15 of the Riverside County Sheriff's Department, San Jacinto Police Department. In 2013, I pursed my passion to work with police K-9s and certified as a Police K-9 Agitator through Adlerhorst Police K-9 Dog Handler School. I had the opportunity to work with approximately 25 K-9 teams and took many bites from the dogs of the Riverside Sheriff's Dept. In 2013 I pursued my interest of raising money to donate to the Riverside Sheriff's Dept. K-9 association - specifically for a K9 Deputy team whom I knew & respected. I was given $1,000 to donate to the team for a protection vest to Riverside County Sheriff's Department K-9 Patrol Officer "Tessa" who has since retired. (Patrol Vests range in price from $1000-$1200) I wanted to do more.... My gut was telling me all 13 patrol dogs at the time needed to have the same protection. The news that K-9 Sultan made the horrific Ultimate Sacrifice we all hope won't happen - gripped my heart and laid heavy on my mind. My gut tells me it's now time to come together as a community. My goal is to raise $13,000 to buy patrol protection vests for all the patrol certified dogs in loving & living memory of K-9 Officer Sultan. My goal is to present 100% of the money raised to Deputy Mark Wallace in honor of K-9 Sultan so we can hand the entire proceeds over to the Riverside Sheriff's K-9 Association Team. My goal is to do so by the Memorial but I will keep fighting until the money is raised to meet that goal. I have ties in the community and many of you know me, some may not. But I ask for a contribution in memory of fallen Officer K-9 Sultan or in memory of another fallen K-9 officer that you know of. All so other Police Officer K-9's may live in their fight to protect us. Let's come together to show our support and appreciation.
