The Cloud Walkers...we are a group of amputees who have chosen to put ourselves to the ultimate test...reaching the peak of Mt. Kilimanjaro in Tanzania Africa. We are from San Antonio, Texas and have been training for nearly a year to scale the highest free standing mountain in the world at 19,341 feet. "They are led by Mona Patel, who is a force of nature! A victim of a drunk driving crime at 17 years old, Mona eventually lost her right leg. In the quarter centruy since, she has dedicated her life helping those who have suffered the same fate. She is a licensed clinical social worker, the Executive Director of the San Antonio Amputee Foundation (SAAF) and the leader of the Cloud Walkers. She assembled the team of a dozen members herself, and, has spent the past year motivating them to push to the limit of their full potential".
Please help us raise funds to tell our stories of hope and resilience to a vast audience, through a documentry feature film. We depart San Antonio for Africa Dec 27, 2015 and will return January 8, 2016.

"A little over a year ago we were introduced to the Cloud Walkers, a group of amputees from San Antonio, Texas, who shared one 'lofty' goal – to climb to the summit of Mt. Kilimanjaro. Inspired by the sheer determination they displayed, we knew we needed to document their journey, and share their story of personal perseverance.
Since that fateful meeting, we’ve documented their training, cried with them when they fell, and cheered when they courageously stood back up. In December of 2015, when we climb Kilimanjaro with them with cameras in hand, I’m confident that it’s the Cloud Walker’s grit that will help us reach the top of the formidable mountain. It is our goal to show the world that it is possible to do anything you set your mind to, regardless of circumstance.
However, we know that grit alone will not enable us to fully tell the tale, and are hopeful to raise . With your donation, you will have a unique opportunity to help us do just that! We sincerely hope you will join us on the journey!"
