Brain Surgery for Marissa

Donation protected

In 2010, Marissa sold her home in the U.S. and moved to a remote Island in the Philippines to help the desperate and poor people of Bantayan Island. In 2012 a massive Super Typhoon destroyed all of the native homes on the Island. Since that time, Marissa has been working hard to rebuild the homes of the poor and meet their basic needs.

Just before Christmas in 2014, Marissa began to lose her vision and suffer from debilitating headaches. Returning to the United States, a MRI revealed that Marissa has a very rare form of cancerous tumor in the center of her brain. Doctors in the U.S. advised that surgery should be undertaken immediately or Marissa will lose her sight as well as her life.

Unfortunately, when Marissa gave up her home in the U. S. to help the poor, she also gave up health insurance that would pay for this type of surgery. Marissa has no resources or assets that would permit her to acquire the $150,000.00 or more that is required to obtain this life-saving brain surgery.

Even small donations by thousands of compassionate people, can make a huge difference and save a life. Your generosity, along with many other caring people, can save Marissa's sight and her life and allow her to heal and continue her important work in helping the poor and neglected of this world.

We hope that your heart may be moved to make this surgery possible. Thank you in advance for your generosity and time in helping Marissa.
