Klunder Care

In 2000,  my brother-in-law, Steve Klunder was diagnosed with a brain tumor. This was the same year his oldest daughter,  Hannah was born.  Since that time
Steve has had surgery to remove the tumor (which has grown back), radiation, chemotherapy (too many times to count) GAMMA Knife surgery, magnetic therapy and countless medications and  physical therapy.

In 2005, the Klunder’s were blessed with a second daughter, Paige.

In 2012 Steve suffered a brain hemorrhage thought to be life ending, but his unyielding perseverance proved his powerful dedication to being here for his family.

After months of rehab in a nursing home, he was able to recover enough to go to Florida in January of this year,  and even cross parasailing off of his bucket list.  We are beyond blessed to have had that time with him.

Last month,  Steve suffered another hemorrhage; his tumor has now reached stage 4 and continues to grow.

This week we learned that Mayo has run out of treatment options-there, quite simply, is nothing left to try.

My sister, Kristen has shown incredible grace, strength and fortitude over the past 15 years. She has been the provider and caretaker and has ensured that her family has lived a life filled with memories and smiles.  I will always measure courage by the example she has set.

The funds raised by this GoFundMe page will be given to my sister and her family to help them as they navigate this very trying time.

Your generous donation is very much appreciated.

Blessings,
