Hello Everyone,

As many of you know I have been studying in the UK for the past four years. The time I have spent here has been absolutely invaluable and recently I got a one of a kind opportunity to pursue my MSc International Banking and Finance with a 25% scholarship. Since coming to the UK I have successfully completed my undergraduate studies and obtained a 1st class Honours degree in Financial Economics with Accounting (BSc) from Swansea University. Throughout  my undergraduate studies I proved myself to be a capable and tenacious young person. Whilst keeping up with my studies, I managed to get involved with my  local community through volunteering initiatives and engaged with my student body through a variety of extra curricular activities, such as African group for the Multicultural Festivals and the Basketball Club to name a few. I managed to put myself through my undergraduate programme while working part time and support from family. I also received some funding support from the university towards my final year tuition fee.

Following my undergraduate degree, having performed quite well I found it essential to pursue a postgraduate course in my chosen field. I managed to raise enough funding to pay for the programme and during my time there I was performing well. Coming towards the end of 2014 my academic career received a blow. It turned out the college I was attending was no longer able to sponsor international students and was shut down by the authorities. As more information emerged,  myself and other students found out the college was being run on fraudulent principles. I was crushed to stay the least. Not only had I spent 8 months studying towards a qualification I was unable to walk away with, I had also lost several thousand pounds in tuition fees as the college was not obliged to reimburse its students. The initial shock to the turn of events left me to feeling deflated. However , Id like to believe that I am the weaver of my own destiny. I continued on with my work and volunteering activities which allowed me to gain perspective. I believe I have a bright future ahead of me in the financial sector. Through conversations and consultation with my family, friends and workmates, I decided to apply for a masters program in International Banking and Finance. I managed to obtain a position at the University of Northampton with a 25% scholarship award.

This is where you my friends and family come into play. For me to be  able to take advantage of my scholarship I need to be able to make a payment of 8600 towards my tuition fees. I have had a short time frame to raise this money in and am afraid I am running out of time. Infact I have less than a week left. I am very determined and I belive that nothing ventured is nothing gained and therefore I am appealing to all of you to contribution whatever amount you can to my tuition fee as I have not been able to meet the amount due to last year's loss and the short time frame I have had to make about my future.

I cant express how grateful I am for the time you have taken to read this page and I would like to thank you for any contribution you are able to make. Whether it be £1, £5, £10, every bit helps.

If u would like more information or have any advise about my current situation please email me on [email redacted]. You can contact me at any time.

God bless you all.

Blessings and love,
Chenai
