The Union8RS - FTC Team 7163
Ryan, Isaac, Campbell, Ian, Caden, Aaron, Madi,
Austin (Mentor), and Ms. Davis (Coach)

A few months ago, they were a rookie Robotics Team made up of intelligent 8th Grade Pre-Engineering teenagers.  Coach Ms. Davis wrote about her Union8RS, " I am so proud of what these kids have built in just their first year on a team; it really is very impressive.  These kids are at school an hour early at least two days a week, will stay after school, and even come in on Saturdays.  They’ve really worked hard and are going to be a force to be reckoned with as they mature and gain more experience!"This past weekend, they hardly looked like rookies!!!  We are so proud to announce, the Union8RS beat out high school teams and placed FIRST in their FTC Challenge. 


BUT NOW, they've been invited to the Oklahoma State Championship in just 3 weeks!


We are looking for friends and family to help fund the Union8RS with parts they need to modify their Robot #7163, and transportation, hotels, and food at the OK State Championship on February 6-7, 2015!

The Program is designed for students in grades 7-12 to compete head to head, using a sports model. Teams are responsible for designing, building, and programming their robots to compete in an alliance format against other teams. The robot kit is reusable from year-to-year and is programmed using a variety of languages. Teams, including coaches, mentors and volunteers, are required to develop strategy and build robots based on sound engineering principles. Awards are given for the competition as well as for community outreach, design, and other real-world accomplishments.
