Help family with First Home

Ok, so this is hard to post, it's not easy to be humble and transparent, but here it goes.

It's getting tighter and tigher in our apartment these days with an energetic 2 1/2 year old and almost crawling 7 month old. 

My husband Mike works very hard for our family as a Parole Officer. Although his work is personally rewarding, it is not finanically so. I do what I can as a stay-at-home/work-from-home Mom (See TeamValiantWarriors ). Without my work-from-home job I would aboslutely be working somewhere else to make ends meet, so I am grateful for that opportunity. However, right now it's a challenge to try to do more with that home job while taking care of 2 wonderful kids.  

I gave birth to our second child this past spring. We were told our health insurance would cover a certain amount of the birth at the birth center, but in the end it was over twice as much. Instead of the $1100 we budgeted for the birth cost us $2300 out of pocket. I do want to acknowledge that we had a friend help with some of that, which we are very grateful for, but the majority we had to figure out how to pay for ourselves.
Add to that the usual vehicle repairs and unexpected & expected expenses of life, and our goal to save the earnest money for our first house has continued to allude us.


Because of my husband's service to our country we qualify for a great $0 down payment VA home loan and have access to a first-time veteran home buyers program which will help us with the closing costs. We still need to supply the earnest money. This is where we are humbly asking for your help.

I know many of my friends are in a place where they are asking for funds as well (for missions & arts work though, not homes!) and all I ask from those friends is prayers for our goal to be reached.
But for anyone that can give something, a contribution of any amount will be the greatest blessing to us. We didn't come to this decision to publicly ask for help lightly.
