Help Kimberly's Spanish & teach ESL

My wife of 15 years is looking to expand her education in teaching English as a second language. 

She has wanted to pursue this for years, but has never had the opportunity to get it done. The demands of being a mom of two and recent tragedies kept her from this opportunity.

Tragedy has seemingly made Kim's plans to pursue immersion study and ESL certification further than ever.

In 2012 came the shock of our lives. I discovered that I had  liver cirrhosis from a genetic predisposition. Then a year later I was consequently let go from my work. To capstone it all, Kimberly lost her Mom in 2014 to stage 4 bone and lung cancer.

However, it's my hope that with your help we can help Kimberly and give her the opportunity she has sought for so long.

For Kimberly, she wants to do this so that she can become a provider to our family and to also be true to her desire in accomplishing things before it becomes "too late in life." This is a sentiment that she may not necessarily notice; but has become more apparent in her since losing her Mom.

The true goal is to help Kimberly to achieve her dream of being able to aptly speak Spanish and be able to teach English to both Spanish and for her to bring this back to the community we live in.

Kimberly has already conducted ESL classes in volunteer and workshop environments for more than five years. She has a heart for new language learners and has made many of her students her friends. 

Her current Bachelor's degree is in Education; but many have suggested the additional certification and training to be better recognized.

The use of the funds will be as follows:
 • to pay for registration, course costs and fees for classes in teaching ESL or Spanish language mastery

•Incidental costs directly related to Kimberly's education in these two areas. This would cover materials such as: travel costs; test fees; books and etc.

• All funds will be used for Kimberly solely in pursuing her goals. 

Kimberly is in the process of evaluating and pursuing several language immersion programs and TESOL programs for certification.  Currently, she is evaluating several online TESOL certification programs, such as TESOL.asia and similar certification programs.
