Kief was a pup that ended up on death row at the local pound. I rescued him and found him a foster home. Until a forever home can be found, Kief needs help with food, vetting, training, etc. See Kief's message below.

Hello! My name is Kief. I'm a 4yo Pittie Mix. I'm white with black spots and I have heterochromia (my right eye is blue and my left eye is gold!)
I grew up in a tiny house and yard with a 5yo and 1yo human brother and sister that I've known and been around since I was a puppy and they were babies. My human mommy was busy and overwhelmed keeping the house clean looking after my human brother and sister... and my human daddy worked nights so he slept all day. They didn't have time for me, and when I played and barked, they put me in a kennel so I didn't wake up daddy. I love them, but I need humans that have time and energy for me.
Eight weeks ago I jumped the 4 foot fence and ran away. The dog catcher picked me up and took me to the pound. Since I have a skin rash (stress/allergy) and am a PitMix, they put me in quarantine. They weren't even going to put me out with the other pups so I could be adopted. I was scheduled for immediate execution.
Luckily, my human's neighbor, Jeff, was looking for me (my human's couldn't afford the pound's fees, so they were going to leave me there)... since Nieghbor Jeff knew me and my story, the pound let him adopt me. Nieghbor Jeff can't keep me because his dog doesn't like me, so he found a foster home for me in Santa Ana.
I love my fosters, but they said I can only stay with them a a short time... I want to find a forever home. I want some humans to love!
I'm a loveable and sweet boy. I'm a puppy at heart and I love to run, play, and wrestle! I love my humans and their kids. I've never met a kitty, and I'm not socialized with other dogs, and I need stability in a home, and humans that are willing -and have the energy- to work with me and train me. I do know basic commands like "sit", "stay" and "shake" and want to learn more!
When Nieghbor Jeff rescued me, I was neutered and given medication for my rash! I'm so happy to be safe and cared for! When I ran away, I was so skinny that my ribs were poking out, not anymore! And my rash is cleared up too! All I needed was a regulatr bath, a clean place to sleep, and flea control.
That's why the humans set up this fundraiser... I need pledges for a rescue to help me, to help the fosters buy me food, possibly get me training, vet visits I might need, and maybe a new Wubba! ;-) Thank you!
