Support KHS Whistleblowers

Two brave employees of the Kauai Humane Society have been fired for going public with their complaints about mistreatment of animals, unfairness to employees and possible mismanagement of funds by the shelter's executive director, Penny Cistaro.

This fund is for their legal and personal support now that they have found themselves suddenly and unfairly unemployed.

These whistleblowers exposed a situation that revealed contractual compliance issues and legal compliance issues giving them protection under Hawaii whistleblower statutes, BUT these fired employees must file the lawsuit. The lawsuit is important because it will shine the light of truth on these matters and will be an important tool in forcing change.

The Kauai Humane Society has suffered deep damage under the management of Ms. Cistaro. She has needlessly killed countless animals, managed the shelter in such a way that employees have been unable to properly care for animals and has discriminated against employees that have advocated to save animals and for better conditions.
