Khmer New Year Celebration 2017

Donation protected
This exciting annual event celebrates Lowell’s Cambodian community with food, live entertainment, and traditional Cambodian dance. Past celebrations have served over 350 community members and we hope to expand our numbers every year. This event is an opportunity for Cambodian residents to connect with one another over shared traditions and for Lowell residents to learn about the unique culture of Lowell’s largest ethnic group.

This exciting event celebrates Lowell’s Cambodian community with delicious ethnic Khmer food, beautiful traditional outfits, live performance of Cambodian royal ballet dancers (which were only performed to the royal families), and other traditional folk dances.

Your donation will help cover the cost of the event so we can keep it for free for individuals and families from our community. Please consider making a donation today, any amount counts!

This event is organized and collaborated by a coalition of community-based organizations including the Cambodian Mutual Assistance Association of Greater Lowell, City of Lowell Police Department, the City of Lowell Senior Center, Coalition for Better Acre, Fallon Health-Summit ElderCare/NaviCare, Lowell Alliance, Lowell Community Health Center/Metta Health Center, Lowell High School, and Lowell Police Department.. With that being said, other local businesses, non-profit organizations, Lowell residents and volunteers play a critical role in making this event possible for the whole community.
