Every day, millions of healthy, friendly, loving dogs and cats are put to sleep in America's shelters. It's not because they're aggressive, unfriendly, have behavioral problems, or any other traits associated with "shelter pets" - it's simply because the shelter doesn't have room and the animals aren't given enough time to find loving homes.
That's where rescues come in. Rescues save lives. They take the dogs and cats at the top of the put-to-sleep list out of the shelter and into foster homes, where the journey to their forever homes begins.
The Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (MSPCA-Angell) is a "safe haven" for homeless pets, providing hands-on care of thousands of abandoned, neglected, and abused animals in New England. They offer adoption, advocacy, humane education and animal protection services at their three locations in Massachusetts.
However, they cannot save lives without funding. The funding covers any necessary veterinary care , and all food, medication, and whatever else is needed.
We would like to give back to the MSPCA-Angell for saving lives and to help them continue to save more lives.
