A Pilgrimage: El Camino de Santiago

Hello Friends,
We are Desirée and Julia, and we are two of the bestest friends!
In June and July 2015, we will be walking El Camino de Santiago, beginning in St. Jean Pied de Port (France) and walking roughly 550 miles to Finisterre (Spain)!!!
At the end of 2014, after a year of great personal acheivements and equally great tribulations, we decided to have a new adventure by following an ancient pilgimage route to the tomb of St. James. We have chosen to spend the last summer of our 20s on a journey of spiritual awareness, introspection, communion with nature, cultural immerseion and intense physical challenges. While we will be traveling to Europe from the United States, Julia will be among a rare group of people to complete the pilgrimage, as she is originally from Russia!
We have already begun planning and saving for the trip, but we need help. We will be missing a month of work to complete our journey and we are asking for some financial assistance from anyone who may feel inspired to contribute to our completion of this amazing pilgrimage. Even a couple dollars will help.
We believe in that life is made of many opportunities to support our fellow humans beings in many ways, and we will do our best to help other pilgrims we meet in anyway possible. We believe in the encouragement of travel and opening ourselves to the beauty of different cultures, beliefs and traditions of people from all over the world. We believe in journeys for personal growth and journeys in the memory and names of so many who cannot journey for themselves. We hope you will help us.
If you would like us to carry any prayer requests along the way, feel free to contact us and we will pray and meditate along the way, finally leaving your requests with St. James.
