Kelsey's Florence Funds

My name is Kelsey, I am a senior at Framingham State University, and am planning to study abroad in Italy this June! I'm a nutrition and wellness major and I am going to Florence so I can study Italy's amazing food culture. In my opinion, health is about eating food that is good for your body, and food that is good for your soul. If anybody has mastered this balancing act, it's the Italians! My goal is to come back from Italy with more knowledge about food, the world, and myself. 

I am officially accepted to Lorenzo de' Medici Institute in Florence, Italy, and plan to study there for the month of June. I will be taking an Italian food culture and nutrition class, and a digital photography class as electives.

But getting to Italy is going to be a great challenge for me. I go to school full time and work 25+ hours a week to support myself, and am financing this trip all on my own. I've been saving every penny I can but there are many things I need money for in order to go on this trip. Not only do I have to have enough money for classes, housing, a plane ticket, and food, but I also need to finance my bills for the month of June, and make up for an entire month off from work. Its going to be difficult but I am determined to get there!

If anybody has even a dollar to spare to help go towards my trip, it would be greatly appreciated. Every single penny counts, and it would mean the world to me if I were able to go on this trip.
