Help Yasmin stay in College

Hello,
my name is Yasmin and I am a 19 year old freshman at the New School University. My major is Psychology and my first semester was going incredibly well. I was on the road to following my dreams until things took a nasty turn. Unfortunately, I had to drop a class, and in the process, I lost my grant money. I wasn't aware that dropping a class would result in me losing the money FASFA had given me. Do to this problem, I am not able to return next semester until I pay off a debt of $3.900 dollars. I now have to pay out of pocket for the classes I did take, since I wasn't aware that we had to take a certain amount of classes to have the help of financial aid. 
I hate to ask for donations, but any little thing helps. I don't mind having even a dollar being contributed to this cause. My mother is disabled and on a fixed income, which isn't enough to pay off the debt. My job is currently not bringing in enough and I would genuinely appreciate your kindness and help. It means a lot. Thank you so much in advance.
