A very special once-in-a-lifetime adventure as a
Voyageurs Ambassador of Music!
My name is Kaylyn Wagner. I'm 14 years old and finishing my 8th grade year. I was nominated to become a member of America's Mid-West Ambassadors of Music. I was nominated based on leadership, character, maturity, and musicianship.
I've been given the opportunity to participate in a performance tour of Europe during the summer of 2015 (June 27-July 12). I'll be visiting 7 countries in 16 days. The countries I'll visit are: England, France, Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Austria, Italy, and Germany.
I need to save and raise apx $6700.00 The expenses include: $5745 for trip, $140 passport, $50 uniform jacket, $50 bus transportation from camp to airport, $50 musical in London, $100 baggage fees for my instrument, and $260 tour camp/training. I'm also given the opportunity to pay $267 and will receive 3 credit hours toward my college education.
My parents have raised me to see the world as a beautiful place. They've always said if you put your mind to something you'll be able to do anything you want. I did this in January when I ran my first half marathon two days after I turned 14. I have big plans for my future and look forward to each day. Please consider helping me raise the money needed for this amazing honor I've been given by my teachers.
Two weeks ago I started my first job busing tables. I'm juggling work, keeping a 3.9 GPA, Girl Scouts - senior level, babysitting jobs, band, jazz band, and many other activities. I'm working hard to save for a once in a life time trip to Europe.
